Jan 18, 2019

Grand Syndicates has purchased it's first yearlings for 2019 at the recent Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Both fillies, the first (pictured) is by the Group 1 winning 2yo No Nay Never, whose oldest Southern Hemisphere progeny are yearlings. His first crop in the Northern Hemisphere include 7 stakes horses, the best of them the unbeaten Ten Sovereigns who won the Group 1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes over 1200m and is one of the favourites for the 2000 Guineas later this year. She is from the mare Call Me Cute, and there are no fewer than 11 stakes horses under her first 3 dams. In a new initiative, she will be a 'ladies only' syndicate. This will make here eligible for up to $500,000 in bonuses in the Magic Millions race series (which she is paid up for) and will be the first Grand Syndicates horse to be trained by our newest trainer, Charlotte Littlefield at Cranbourne Vic.

The other purchase was a filly by dual Group 1 winner Press Statement whose oldest progeny are yearlings. He won the Group 1 JJ Atkins over 1600m at 2 then returned as a 3 year old to claim the time honoured G1 Caulfield Guineas. Winners of that race that have gone on to have stud success include the mighty Redoute's Choice, Show A Heart, Lonhro and more recently Starspangledbanner. From the Elusive Quality mare Chose That, she hails from a nice family that includes the former handy stayer and winner of over $500,000 Rainbow Styling and the 6 time winner and earner of almost $600,000 Neverland. She will be trained at Gosford, NSW by Grant Allard, trainer of the very talented Grand Syndicates gelding Zoffany's Lad.

Full details will be available shortly.
