The Winners Keep Rolling For Grand Syndicates!
Jan 07, 2019
Grand Syndicates mare Guess Again scored an impressive win on Monday at Stawell to continue a hot run for the team.
The Luke Oliver trained mare was the 2nd winner in three days for the Grand/Oliver combination, the 18th winner for the season for Grand Syndicates, and the 5th winner in 18 days!!
After opening short at around $3.40, the daughter of former champion racehorse and now successful sire So You Think drifted to start at $4.20 in some markets, with her backers rubbing their hands together as they loaded up on what seemed a good bet. The money came for Pink Pig, who firmed from $9 into $4.20 but that mattered little to Guess Again who was on her best behaviour today to rally late and get up to score by a neck with a bit in hand.
The win continues a great run for the Oliver stable, who have saddled up 5 winners in eight days, including the recent victory of Grand Syndicates mare Tavisocks. Much credit must go the Luke and his team, with Guess Again being a little highly strung and her own worst enemy at times, it's satisfying no doubt for them to see her saluting.
It was the 3rd win for the former NZ$23,000 purchase, taking her earnings to almost $55,000.
