Victorian Stayers Ready To Step Up

Nov 05, 2018

Victorian trained Grand Syndicates' stayers Royal Volley and Tavisocks will be looking to get back in the winner's circle soon as they continue their latest preps.

Royal Volley (pictured) has had the two starts this prep and trainer John Price will be looking to step the son of Viscount up in distance at his next run. Already a winner up to 1600m and placed up to 2200m, he'll be looking to add to his two wins and $56,000 in prize money as he gets to a more suitable distance.

The Luke Oliver trained Tavisocks ran 4th at her latest outing after a 7 week let up and she too will be improving with more distance than the 1600m of that race. She's already a winner at 1600m in her short career and being by NZ staying sire Tavisocks from a mare that won at 2000m, no doubt more ground will be right up her alley.
