Zoffany’s Lad Makes It Four In A Row

Oct 19, 2018

Super exciting Grand Syndicates’ four year old Zoffany’s Lad once again delivered for his owners on Friday at Taree, winning his fourth race in succession in a most arrogant fashion. He equalled the record of Gilchrist, who also won 4 in a row in the black and gold colours of Grand Syndicates.

Trainer Grant Allard has done a tremendous job with the horse and has placed him to perfection, allowing him to cruise through his grades and get plenty of photos on the walls of his owners.

Despite jumping up in weight and racing on a heavy track, regular jockey Ben Looker had him positioned in behind the leaders approaching the turn before pulling him to the outside and surging to the front early in the straight, going on to score by almost a length.

It now takes the record for the $17,500 purchase to 7 starts for 4 wins and one second, and prize money of just under $50,000.
