Man Of His Word Trials Well Ahead Of Return
Oct 09, 2018
Star Grand Syndicates' gelding Man Of His Word had his owners grinning form ear to ear after he trialled on Monday at Cranbourne in his first public outing since being transferred to trainer Dean Krongold's stables at Denistoun Park near Mornington, Victoria.
The 6 year old had all the gear taken off, and under a tight hold from rider Craig Williams he was the widest runner at the turn before easily accounting for the field of 7 to win the trial by around a length. His likely target first up will be the Village Stakes at Caulfield on October 17th and Williams has indicated that he'd be keen to stick with him.
The former $10,000 buy is another Grand Syndicates success story, banking over $440,000 with his six wins, including one at Listed level and a further 10 placings in his career to date
