Owner's and punters rejoiced on Sunday as Toffiato finally shook his maiden tag with a big win, making it 3 wins from 3 horses to wear the Team Grand silks in SA since the end of July.

Making the long trip to Port Augusta to race on the dirt as an audition for possible Darwin racing, Toffiato was heavily backed from $3.20 into $1.80 and the result never looked in doubt as the former Victorian stalked the speed under jockey Jake Toeroek, before finding clear running on straightening to explode past his opposition, running away by 3 lengths eased down. A horse with plenty of ability, it has been issues beyond the horse's control which has held him up to this point, but a change of tact and scenery had the little brother of smart Team Grand Tykiato ready to win on Sunday, and the owners tipped in, with money all around the country following on.

The win followed wins by (another) former Victorian in Eureka Sky, who David won with at just her 2nd start for the stable as well as well as the big win by stable favourite Bajan who produced a dazzling (long) last to (long) first display at Morphettville last month. From the 3 Grand Syndicates runners to have raced since July, all of have been winners for the stable.

Congratulations to all involved and well done to David Jolly who has the team in SA humming along nicely!
