Royal Volley spanks them at Stony Creek
Mar 28, 2018
Grand Syndicates' Victorian-based Royal Volley continued his emergence by blowing his rivals away in the Riverview Hotel Tarwin Lower Handicap (Race 8-1600m) at Stony Creek today.
The John Price-trained four-year-old relished a positive ride from top jockey Linda Meech, rolling forward to race right up to of the speed and draw clear in the straight to win by a ever-widening 3-1/4 lengths.
Royal Volley, who was secured by Team Grand for only $10,000 as a yearling, has always shown plenty of promise but has really come into his own this campaign, with two big wins from his past four outings.
The son of Viscount is beginning to build a solid overall record two wins and five placings from only 11 starts, and $43,745 in the bank. And the direction he's trending suggests there's plenty more to come.
