Guess Again brilliant on debut

Feb 21, 2018

The Grand Syndicates' and Luke Oliver Racing combination continued their purple patch of form with Guess Again (pictured) making a winning debut in the bet365 Protest Payout 3YO Fillies Maiden (Race 1-1100m) at Kyneton today.

The three-year-old filly, who was the first leg of a two-state winning double for Team Grand, was a big drifter in betting, however, defied the market to draw clear for a strong victory, courtesy of a confident ride from the in-form Daniel Moor.

Watch: Guess Again too strong at Kyneton

The daughter of So You Think, who was picked up for $27,500 NZD at the 2016 New Zealand Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale, had shown promise in her lead-up jump outs and the strength of her debut triumph suggests she has a bit of class about her.

Guess Again was the third Team Grand/Luke Oliver winner in 13 days with Tavisocks and Khutulun saluting on February 8 and February 10 respectively. This record has a chance to improve even further this weekend, with the lightly-raced filly High Sierra well placed to break maiden status at Ballarat on Sunday.
