By first season sire Press Statement, a dual Group 1 winner of the JJ Atkins Stakes & sire-making Caulfield Guineas.

From a black type family that includes handy stayer Rainbow Styling.

Introducing Grand Syndicates first purchase of the 2019 yearling crop, a stylish, big value filly by the exciting first season stallion PRESS STATEMENT and out of the Elusive Quality mare Chose That, a half sister to two Australian G3 winners, with a page full of black type.

Australian fans need no introduction to PRESS STATEMENT. The son of HINCHINBROOK was an undefeated G1 winning 2yo, winning the G1 JJ Atkins in devastating style at just his 3rd start before returning as a 3yo to claim first claim the G2 Stan Fox at Rosehill before winning the stallion making G1 Caulfield Guineas in a canter. He would claim the G2 Hobartville later that season before retiring after placings in both the G1 Randwick Guineas behind Le Romain and the G1 George Ryder behind the champion Winx. Press Statement would retire with 6 wins and over $1.8 million in prizemoney from just his 12 starts, a first class record by any measure and one which holds in him great position to be a success at stud in Australia.

This filly’s dam is the well-bred Elusive Quality mare Chose That, a half sister to the G3 Naturalism winner RAINBOW STYLING and G3 Birthday Stakes ZINGALING. What we particularly liked about this mare is that two of her half sisters have already succeeded at stud from moderate race careers, producing the G2 winner and multiple stakes-placed DEMONITIZATION, the twice stakes-winning and G1 performed NEVERLAND and the stakes-winning and further 4-time stakes-placed RUETTIGER. This show’s that our filly’s family produces high class racehorses at our fillies generation.

On type, this filly scored well with all 3 of our judges at the Magic Millions sale, being a neat, correct and well balanced filly, with a relaxed temperament and good walk. She’ll be fully paid up for the BOBS bonus prizemoney scheme and will be trained by Team Grand trainer Grant Allard at Gosford in NSW. She represents big value with full 5% share priced at $1,100 including all costs to XXXXX with Grand Syndicates fixed fee structure to take over from there, which breaks down to $6.60 a day and includes all normal training and vet fees, with feature race nominations and long haul transport the only exclusions. With the prices of yearlings through the roof so far in 2019, don’t miss your opportunity to find some genuine with this filly.
