If it's a filly with a winning pedigree and an imposing physique that you're looking for, and one that can give you the chance to compete as an owner in the better 3yo and older races over a mile and more, then here she is!
Introducing Grand Syndicates’ new filly by the Cox Plate winner SHAMUS AWARD from the proven stakes-winner producing mare IT’S YOU.
A son of the champion sire SNITZEL and a dual G1 winning 3yo, SHAMUS AWARD is a young stallion that we feel is set to make his presence felt on the Australian breeding industry. His oldest progeny sold in 2017 for up to $425,000 and they are just 2 year olds now. This season, his yearlings have once again been in big demand at the various sales across Australasia, and it's our opinion that this filly was very well bought.
On the track, SHAMUS AWARD proved himself to be one of the best of his generation. Following an ultra-consistent 2yo season which saw him placed in the VRC Sire’s Produce Stakes, Chairman’s Stakes, Maribyrnong Plate and Inglis Banner, he was an emphatic winner of Australia’s premier WFA race, the Cox Plate. In winning the Cox Plate as a 3yo, he joined elite company, becoming only the 4th 3yo to win it in 34 years alongside the champion OCTAGONAL and successful sires SAVABEEL and SO YOU THINK. He returned in the Autumn and then became the only horse to ever complete the Australian Guineas–Cox Plate double when taking out the highly coveted, prestigious Group 1 mile event for 3yos - beating the outstanding galloper CRITERION in the process. Retiring as a 3yo with almost $2.5 million in prizemoney, he’s now set to emulate that success in the breeding barn as a stallion.
Bred on a proven and successful cross and from a pedigree full of black-type, this filly’s dam is the winning race-mare and proven producer, IT’S YOU. Stakes-placed herself as a 3yo, It’s You has already produced an impressive 6 winners, including the stakes-winner YOUREIN and the 7-time winner and stakes-placed OFF THE RAILS. On top of her proven ability to produce black-type progeny, It’s You’s 6 winning sons and daughters include 5 city-winners, with this filly bred on the same cross as 3 of them, including the previously mentioned stakes-performer OFF THE RAILS. Throw in the fact that It’s You is half-sister to Heatherlie Stakes winner HONEST POLITICIAN as well as the G1 placed IPIOGA and the 5-time group placed PACINO and it’s a pedigree full of black-type which gives this filly (and her owners) every chance of gaining that much sought after residual value ($$$) as a broodmare after she finishes racing.
To be trained at Scone by leading trainer Brett Cavanaugh, this filly is eligible and paid up for the lucrative BOBS bonus scheme which runs throughout NSW, in addition to also being fully paid up for the $8 million Inglis Race Series, which includes the new $4 million raceday at Warwick Farm, beginning in February next year. All of which means more potential prizemoney for her owners!
INTRODUCING GRAND PLATINUM!
To secure this filly at auction, we had to break with our usual business model of offering syndicate shares at $1,100 and $2,200 each (which is very limiting but nevertheless something that we've been very good at), and pay much more than we usually do for a yearling. We've called this new level of our business 'GRAND PLATINUM' and it'll enable those who want to invest at a slightly higher level to do so.
Shares in this filly are priced at $5,150 each (per 5% share) and that includes the purchase price, inclusion in the BOBS bonus scheme and the $8,000,000 Inglis race series, insurance, transport, agistment, breaking-in and all other associated costs right through until July 1st 2018. She's a terrific filly, she represents great value and she could very well give you every opportunity to get right where you want to be-IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE!
Brochures on this syndicate are available right now by return email....
